My Project

As a pre-k, Special Education teacher, I am dedicated to providing my students with engaging, hands-on learning experiences. To further enhance their development, I am seeking donations to provide a variety of educational toys and resources for our classroom.

These new toys and resources will be used in different play areas to help support students' understanding of unit themes.

Plants and Trees Unit will use the educational toys such as forest building blocks to encourage children to learn about nature and the environment.

Blocks, shapes and construction toys will foster creativity, problem solving and early engineering skills.

Manipulatives such as Theraputty helps children strengthen fine motor skills and engage in sensory exploration.

Additionally, I am hoping to add a camera that prints pictures on the spot, allowing children to document their activities and explore the concept of memory and storytelling. These pictures will be displayed around the classroom offering an opportunity for self-reflection and language development as they talk about their experiences.

I would also love to add desktop pocket charts and laminating sheets, which will help organize daily routines, schedules and learning activities. This will give students a visual way to understand what is coming next in their day and foster independence and language development as they interact with the chart.
