Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our multilingual learners need access to reading resources that are colorful, current, and relatable to them. TIME For Kids is a resource that engages emergent readers as well as the children on grade level. The colorful and meaningful photos encourage discussions and questions for curious students. Scholars often share the magazines with their families who oftentimes are learning English as a second language.
Individual student copies help students to engage with multiple reading resources and encourage a love for learning.
TIME for Kids has been a teacher's favorite for reading.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
