My Students

Our classroom is a fun place to learn. We work hard, and I try to provide an educational experience for each child at their specific level. Our classroom is like a family as we support one another and celebrate each other as we make progress throughout the year.

My students love learning and I strive to provide the best education possible so they will have the keys they need to unlock their potential.

I teach in a Title I school, and we aim to keep our school community positive so that our students feel like school is a safe haven where they can come to learn and grow.

My Project

I want my students to see their best possible future selves so we learn about different careers. In my district, we learn about six different careers each year so by the time students enter college and have to pick a major, they have a plethora of experiences to know what their strengths, interests, and values are. We hope they connect this knowledge to a career where they will not only be financially stable, but they will be happy to go to work since their work will be something they are good at and something they are passionate about.

Having a variety of books that highlight different careers will help my students explore their strengths, interests, and values.

Not only will they see characters who look like them in successful careers, but they also will get exposure to all sorts of different jobs that will help decide what job might be best for them.
