Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing human beings! They are full of life and have endless potential to do so many wonderful things. My school is a Title I school in a poverty-stricken community. Our school receives a grant that allows every child to have free breakfast and lunch served at school due to food insecurities at home. Many of our parents struggle to help meet the needs of school supplies and the needs of their children. Regardless of these circumstances, my students overcome! They are learning how to face challenges and grow stronger academically, socially, and emotionally preparing them for the next level of life.

I believe that these students deserve every opportunity this world has to offer, and I am determined to help them get it.

These students can change the world with their brilliant minds and can climb out of the cycle of poverty through the gift of education. They will learn that the world is theirs for the taking with hard work, dedication, and knowledge.

My Project

I have a lot to learn. I'm not the best teacher I can be, but I'm determined to get there daily. Professional development books do that for me. Ever since I've discovered them, I've been obsessionally reading them. Students will benefit because I'll gain knowledge in retrieval practice, reading, math, and social emotional learning.

Please give me all the professional development book so my class instruction and morale will improve!

Books have been life changing for me! They truly make me feel more alive than watching TV. With your help, I can continue to become a better teacher and person for students this year and the years to come!
