Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A typical day include greeting my students and welcoming them to the classroom. Then I read a book to the children in order for them to be aware of more vocabulary words. At the end of the school year, I want all my children to learn how to read up to level d.

My children are mostly of Hispanic and black descent.

Many of the parents are single parents and the children come from low income environment. My children are five year old so they are babies that enjoy fun interactive learning. I would describe the school as a friendly environment . The school is located in a poor area of the South Bronx. The downfall of the school is that children are constantly absent and this affects their learning. However, it lacks resources for the children. I wish the school will provide more resources in order to create centers and this will create a better learning environment. The resources and materials I am asking for the children to improve and learn how to read. Centers are important aspect of learning because children work together and learn together.

My Project

My students will use the sight words in order for them to learn the words. This will help a group of students learn and master the sight words. The pen will allow the children to hear the sight words. The dry erase markers will help the children write the letter and sounds during Fundations. Fundations is very important in the Kindergarten curriculum. Children are able to use the markers in the board and practice writing sounds and words. I would love these materials in order to help my children learn.

This donations will improve and help my classroom by providing resources in order for them to enhance their learning.

I want all my children to read and the sight words will be very helpful in getting them to read. The markers will help my children write and enhance their cognitive skills in writing. They will use the marker to practice the different letters and sounds. My students lives would change dramatically in a positive way. They will be happy with the new resources. They will be learning
