My Project

I provide RSP services to a group of incredible children in grades K-5. My students have a wide range of disabilities that impede their ability to learn independently in a General Education setting. My students predominantly come from low-income households which makes it difficult for them to have access to resources that could positively impact their academics and social emotional health.

Despite the enormous challenges my students face, they are still kind, hardworking, and genuinely excited to come to school to learn.

While my students and I have been practicing important life skills like emotional regulation, impulse control, and anxiety management, we need more tools and resources. With your generosity, I hope to purchase a few items to create a calming corner in one of the many amazing classrooms I provide services. I plan to purchase a bookcase, rug, and coloring supplies to give these students a safe, calming corner where children can not only de-escalate but also learn strategies for controlling difficult emotions.
