Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The school's minority student enrollment is 97%. The student-teacher ratio is 13:1. The student population is made up of 48% female students and 52% male students. The school enrolls 87% economically disadvantaged students. My boys are passionate, full of personality, and have tremendous potential. Their salvation from the streets is basketball. They use basketball as an outlet and a way to connect to the fellow boys. It builds brotherhood, perseverance, and balance. These donations for this project will help purchase basketball items so that our team becomes successful. This year is the final season for some of my players. Three of them are seniors and they should have all they need in order to have a memorable season.
