My Project

My fellow teachers and I are creating a well-organized and welcoming classroom for our new Fourth graders. We believe that students learn effectively in a classroom where they can find all supplies that are easy to reach; for example, electronic pencil sharpeners come in handy when students forget to sharpen their pencils at home. Since we have young English language learners who just came to this country, I would like to have bilingual labels for them to use our library with updated bilingual books. Additionally, a calm corner for my young new comers will enable them to be home-sick or relieve their anxiety of being in a brand new environment.

This project will help me organize my classroom library, provide school supplies so that students are focused on classwork, and create a calm corner with a bean bag chair where students are able to manage their moods.

My students will be able to focused on learning in a well-organized and anxiety-free classroom.
