Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students I teach are incredible, resilient, and make each day in the classroom exhilarating. They bring a variety of languages to life and infuse their culture into every part of our day. Each of the materials that is being requested will make a significant difference in our classroom. Our math instructional time will be enhanced through use of the tiles because multi-sensory experiences enable children to better retain the information that is being presented to them. The multicolored chips will be used when we play our CVC word bingo which will enable students to learn how to decode words and practice vital early reading skills through game based learning. People crayons enable us to truly depict who we are and accurately represent the people around us. We each have a story to tell and these crayons help us to showcase our story with the truth. Through the purchase of kindness crayons we can portray the details of our story and bring our emotions to life. The Floor Seats will provide these beautiful kindergarten students with the ability to be comfortable while working which keeps their brains relaxed allowing for information to be more easily obtained.

Each of the items donated will enable our experiences in the classroom to be enhanced through heightened engagement because each child will be able to manipulate the different materials on their learning level.

The children will be able to experience differentiated lessons that expose them to the necessary skills to propel their educational journey. It is a joy and privilege to be impacted by the beautiful learners in my room. My hope is to return the impact through the relationships we build together and engaging experiences that can be created through the supplies on this list.
