Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom is full of energetic, bilingual kindergarten students who enjoy learning. They live in a low poverty area. Some students are newcomers, and others live with parents that can't help financially. My students are bilingual learners who love to read and get together to share their learning.

Please help me to purchase a cozy and inviting alphabet activity carpet for my kindergartners.

My students currently do not have a rug in the classroom just a cold and hard tile floor. This bright and inviting rug will provide a great meeting spot in the classroom. It will also give my students a fun way to develop their letter identification skills, practice alphabet sequencing and build shape recognition skills as they sit. It will also provide a sense of community and togetherness that has been lacking with the previous Covid-19 restrictions and protocols. Rugs are more than just a cozy place to sit or relax. My kindergarten students will use this carpet to listen to read alouds, play, and even explore.
