Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My special education students have experienced several struggles this school year. Some of them are unsheltered and don't know where they will be spending the night. Others rely on their schools to find comfort and acceptance.

These books, writing supplies and some healthy snacks will hopefully free their minds from these discomforts that they are experiencing while they are at school.

These graphic novel books will allow them to veer their minds from what they are experiencing outside their school environment and help them focus on achieving their dreams. Having healthy choices for snacks is not always an option for most of them. Providing them with these choices will help them focus more at school while also practicing a healthy lifestyle.
