Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The 22 students that we work with are students needing literacy services. Our school is a Title I school in the South Bronx. My school has tried to provide us with as much help as possible. We, the AIS team love working with our students. Our 1:1 and small group instruction has benefited our students greatly. We have noticed a great growth in the students that we service.

However, we still need assistance in providing materials that can better assist our students.

We have made great strides last year and I truly believe that it's going to be a better year for our students as well as for the beautiful team supporting these students.

My Project

I work with so many students from different cultural backgrounds in a title one school. My goal is to get every student that I work with to read everyday. Reading can bring so much out them as they develop skills and strategies.

Having new and fresh nightly books and creating books of their own.

My goal is to help my students love reading as much as I do.
