"Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game." This quote talks about taking chances. This is exactly what our students would get to do when they have the chance to talk and work together. These tables would allow them this chance!
Our campus strives on ALL students having the chance to learn in the most appropriate and collaborative way.
Next year, we will have approximately 115 fourth graders walking through our two math classrooms. We want to give them an experience with math they may not of had before.
My Project
Our students will be rotating into the classroom and will sit with a group of 4 or 5 students. They will be mixed ability and focusing on math instruction. With these tables being white board tops, they will be able to use dry erase makers to solve problems and find solutions together as a group. This will allow learning to be at a much higher level, but also fun!
Our hope is that our students will learn to talk to each other in an appropriate and higher order mathematical way.
They will get the chance to solve, debate and grow together as a team!
