My Students

What I love best about my students is, they appreciate the smallest gesture, and provide each other with encouragement, and kind words. All of my students are so very kind and eager to learn. I teach core subjects and the arts. As I stand by the classroom door, welcoming each student, they never seem to let me down entering the classroom. They’re funny, high energy spirits, greet me with smiles, high fives, and every now and then, a Fort Nite dance. These students are from all around the world, very eager to learn the proper use of the English language.

After settling in, they open an independent book of their choice, read quietly, then wait for the daily lesson to begin.

The items I am requesting will provide them with updated material.

My Project

The products I have chosen will assist my students during reading lessons and interpretation. Prepared to learn, Students will use pencils for writing and learn to shade within their drawings. The lesson begins through literature. Students sit in a circle, as I read them a story. Reading out loud provides each student with an opportunity to use the learning technique that is best for them. Some students learn visually, some through auditory, others, hands-on. They will be encouraged to ask & answer questions, as well as review vocabulary. Depending on grade level, students will be instructed to use vocabulary words in a sentence and write definitions. After I complete the story, students are asked to return to their desk. Materials are provided so students have an opportunity to create visuals of their interpretation of the story, and any changes they would like to add. Scratch-art paper is used as a medium to draw. This is used to motivate students to create using a unique form. Students are asked to take turns sharing their artwork, and conclusions. Students will learn they're all artist and have their own style of expression. My goal is for each student to find their strength, and individuality while being supportive of one another. This also enables me, as the teacher, to understand their comprehension, and understanding from my lessons.
