My Project
As an ELA teacher, I must stay ahead of the curve by continually refining my skills and methodologies. A MacBook will be an invaluable tool for me when I am participating in professional development (PD) activities, providing a seamless and efficient platform for learning, collaboration, and creativity. With my school system implementing a new ELA curriculum, rolled out over several years, I am required to attend multiple online workshops each school year.
Having a MacBook for these workshops will help me and my 100+ ELA students for years to come.
This requested laptop offers a powerful and user-friendly interface that allows me to access a multitude of educational resources, such as online courses, webinars, and digital libraries. These resources can help me stay up-to-date with the latest pedagogical trends and best practices. The macOS platform is known for its stability and intuitive design. It allows me to focus on learning without being bogged down by technical issues.
In addition to taking these workshops, I will be able to use the methodologies I learned directly with my students. Slide decks that I'm given access to during simulation trainings will be displayed for my students, as well as modified and dropped into my Google classroom to make the transition from professional development to instruction seamless (and time-saving!)
In conclusion, a MacBook will be an essential tool for my professional development and my students' ELA instruction. As I work with students who may be classified as general education, special needs and/or gifted and talented, I need a wide variety of skills and resources at my fingertips. Powerful capabilities, user-friendly interface, and collaborative features make a MacBook an invaluable asset as I to enhance my practice and deliver the best reading and writing instruction, and provide the best feedback to students as possible.
