My Project

Setting up a new classroom opens up a world of possibilities. As a math intervention teacher, I will be working with kindergarten through 3rd grade students to develop a love of math and strong math identities. A table for small group work will be the central work area in my classroom. In addition to flexible seating, the table will be where we gather for small group work.

As mathematicians participate in collaborative problem solving and meaningful math routines, they need a space to work.

This flower desk allows students to each have a seat at the table and space to work, but also a chance to listen to one another and share strategies.
