This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Summer reading is critical in preventing the “summer slide,” and this project ensures my students keep their reading skills sharp. "A Wrinkle in Time" is a novel that fosters curiosity, resilience, and problem-solving — essential skills for their academic journey. By providing this book, I am giving them a head start in sixth grade while promoting a lifelong love of reading.

I am requesting a class set of "A Wrinkle in Time" to give each student a personal copy to read over the summer.

This classic novel is part of the sixth grade curriculum and will allow my students to enter middle school feeling prepared and excited. Providing them with this book as a gift ensures that every child — regardless of financial background — has the opportunity to read a novel that challenges their thinking, expands their vocabulary, and sparks a love for literature.
