Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The majority of my students do not own computers, and only a few that do have Internet services or a current model. A new computer in the classroom will allow my students to take advantage and be motivated to learn through the use of technology.

My students are from a low economic area, and everyone receives a free lunch.

They have little academic resources outside of school, and technology is way down on the list. Despite their economic and social challenges they come to school motivated and inspired to learn everyday.

My Project

Whether it's math, reading, Language Arts, spelling, or art, the use of technology can only help open a new world in a child's learning. My students love to use technology to help themselves learn. A new computer would bring access to digital interactive programs and websites. They will also learn the value and use of the world wide web for research, exploration and independent learning.

This laptop will provide current mobile technology so all students in the class can be inspired to find and come upon new ways to improve their own education.

This new computer will help my students by giving them self esteem in their basic computer skills, which will facilitate better learning.
