My Project

Our students have improved their Math and Science scores with limited lab resources over the past 2 years. The classroom materials received for our Mathematics and Science classes will support all students based on their various learning modalities. These resources will provide hands-on learning while bringing real-world application scenarios and problem-solving into the classroom.

Throughout their middle school years, science students can engage in STEM labs using various lab instruments.

They will learn techniques such as using oil immersion with a compound microscope, preparing Petri dishes with Agar, and more. The compound microscopes will be used to introduce students to different types of cells (plant and animal) from 6th through 8th grade. Students will investigate different types of onion cells using oil immersion to depict the cells in the mitotic stages.

The math supplies for this project are essential in a math classroom for several reasons:

Rulers, geometry sets and protractors help make abstract concepts tangible, fostering student interest and participation. Supplies like graph paper, calculators, and visual aids cater to varied learning preferences, allowing everyone to grasp concepts more effectively. Post IT and anchor charts with concepts illustrate mathematical relationships and concepts, supporting visual learners and enhancing overall comprehension. Overall, having the right supplies enriches the learning experience for the students in the classroom!
