Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school has a wonderful school garden that needs a lot of upkeep, we have grown things such as: pumpkins, radishes, peas, zucchini, sunflowers, tomatoes, and so much more!!

We need to continue to inspire students to tend to the garden and grow their own food so they see the impact that is has on them and the Earth around them!

With these garden supplies we can engage students to see how we can nurture our relationship with Mother Earth so that she continues to provide for us. The garden has become a relaxing, safe space for all of the students at my school. In order to keep it that way, all of the students pitch in to continue taking care of it by weeding, trimming, planting, and harvesting. These supplies would greatly enhance our garden and make the students happy.
