Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My special needs students come from a high poverty area and don't have computers or tablets in their homes. They need an opportunity to learn how to use technology in order to be successful in the future. A tablet would encourage them to learn in a different way.

My students are 5th graders with special needs.

They are great students that are eager to learn. They attend a California Title 1 school in a high poverty, gang infested area. My students are faced with a great deal of challenges and still come to school each day to learn.

My Project

A new tablet in the classroom would provide the students with a new way of learning. My fifth grade students do a lot of research projects and they need to learn how to research using the internet. They will use the tablet to research different projects in science, history, health, and social studies.

A new tablet would change my students lives.

Many have never been exposed to a tablet and it will surely put a smile on their face. They are faced with challenges that are out of their control and need as much assistance as possible. A new tablet will provide a whole new learning experience for them.
