My Project

This reading area will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that we strive to create. Our classroom library is a place that our students really enjoy-we recently received beanie bags to lay on, lap desks, and this reading nook would add to our learning environment. Students will be able to choose books, and sit comfortably reading in a safe and quiet area which in turn, will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time.

With this reading nook, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level and read books that they find enjoyable!

The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. Our students already have shown an incredibly interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences! It's all about building a comfort space, a space where students feel successful, comfortable and encouraged!
