My Project

I would like to provide a designated area for my students to find their calm in the classroom. This intentional space would be a soothing atmosphere where students could take time to acknowledge big feelings and then use strategies and resources to address those feelings in a personal and effective way.

The calming space and its accompanying resources will equip students with the tools they need to recognize, understand, and manage their emotions.

Such skills and coping strategies are essential for students to build a sense of trust and safety in the learning environment, helping them to grow both their hearts and minds.
