My Project

The impact of COVID-19 is apparent in my students and their social and emotional development- students are having a challenging time acknowledging and regulating their emotions. This can impact not only their interactions with one another, but their work. These materials will provide areas where they can work independently in non-traditional spaces that allow them the ability to move beyond the traditional table/chair model of classroom workspaces. My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work. It also provides areas where they can utilize the spaces to calm their emotional responses to situations.
