This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
This year I would love to incorporate a soft starts in the classroom. Motivate students to attend school early to spend times with their peers. A soft start creates a safe, relaxing (fluorescent light covers will help), and inviting classroom. Its enriched with multiple puzzles and games. A variety of different storage will help keep resources organized for daily use.
Materials to teach science and math by using hands-on activities are engaging and encourage problem-solving skills.
Students gain knowledge and increase learning through collaborative work. We will use thermometers when learning about our primary source of energy with timers to see how heat affects time. Flashlights and sound kit will help when learning about light and sound. A glow party with amazing books to keep learning about light is perfect for students to do a little research.
Math can not be forgotten we will use scales to learn about measurement and weigh. Whiteboards is a way students can show their understanding with no fear of getting it wrong. Place value disks are used to learn to multiply, addition, and subtraction. Extra practice on devices by minimized distractions with individual headphones.
Art is something most student look forwards to. Sharpeners come very handy when we want an art project to be smooth. We will be using paint brushes, and special paper to show students creativity.
Student need a little motivation to keep on working. It could be in a form of a snack or stickers, or a little incentive to decorate their pencil by using a pencil chart will keep every one happy.
As the teacher some personal items like staple removers and filing folders will help keep students work presentable. Having a laptop that that I could take with me for planning. Resources on the wall for students reference.
