My Project

For the past few months (and even years), I’ve been providing snacks for my students—and not just those in my class. Word gets around quickly when someone has food, and many students now seek me out when they’re hungry.

I always try to make sure they leave with something in their hands and in their stomachs.

But recently, I’ve been running low on the resources to continue doing this. That’s why I’m reaching out to DonorsChoose—to ask for your help in stocking up on healthy snacks like granola bars, crackers, fruit cups, and other non-perishable items. These snacks will be available to any student who needs them, whenever they’re hungry during the school day. A simple snack can mean the difference between a distracted, tired child and one who is ready to learn and participate. When students' basic needs are met, they are better able to focus, engage, and succeed in school. Your support will help me ensure that no child has to sit through class hungry. It’s a small act that can make a big difference in their day—and in their lives.
