My Project

These items run the gamut! I need toner to provide color handouts to every child so they can feel valued and enjoy images of spotted lantern flies, Sopheap Pich sculptures, DNA, Stonehenge, Tenochtitlan, Europa, and Gothic arches. What a difference color makes! I design my own class and without textbooks, I want to still make things tempting and gorgeous!

All of these requested supplies will go directly into student instruction and add some pizazz to daily activities, as well as support some special projects!

I would like to do a unit on conic sections (circles, ellipses, parabolas and hyperbolas) to touch on the physics of gravity and more. I need a class set of compasses and some graph paper, along with supplies I already have for launching projectiles.

For a unit on genetics, I would love to teach them about variation with PTC paper; remember, some of us do not taste it!

Lastly my magnetism unit is growing and for a lesson on how the force falls off with the square of distance, a complex concept for middle-schoolers, I need to augment my supply of powerful magnets that can be easily held and manipulated.
