A Shining Tree to Utilize for Learning

Help me give my students a tree in order to celebrate a Holiday all of this room loves. We would use this for color naming and learning tasks while allowing the Holiday cheer to shine through.

My Project

My class is made up of three to five year old kids who love to explore and learn. I would love to be able to get them a tree with multi-colored lights in order to utilize in our classroom learning. With this tree we would color match with the multi-color bulbs, practice fine motor skills by hanging the objects, and picture naming using language skills in order to name the objects from the tree.

When you were a kid what if your teacher told you some of your lessons would use a multi-colored tree?

To have an affective lesson the students need to be engaged. By having this tree I believe my students would be mesmerized with the pretty lights and hands on activity which would help with retention of the lessons taught while practicing color naming/matching, fine motor and language skills.
