A Set of My Own

My Students

I currently have 24 Pre-kindergarten students on my roster. All of my students’ families have elected in-person instruction. Unlike previous years, our campus has elected to have heterogeneous prekindergarten classrooms with 3 and 4 years old students. The 3-year-old scholars are newly turned 3 and require learning tools that are developmentally appropriate for them. My students are enthusiastic about learning despite all of the challenges during this pandemic. For many of them, this will be their first experience in a structured learning environment outside of their homes.

My Project

My scholars currently share headphones because there are not enough for every child to have their own. If this project is funded, I will label each item and store them for personal use in all their assignments. This will maximize instructional time because, we will not have to stop and sanitize the headphones before and after each use throughout the day. Personal headphones will also reduce the wear and tear on the materials. Each student will be responsible for the sanitizing and care of his/her headphones only. Time management allows more time for them to be actively engaged in the learning process.
