My Project

All of my students are English Language Learners. For many of them, they have been isolated and have not socialized in person for a while due to COVID-19. By having this crafting after school activity, it will provide my students with a place where they have a sense of belonging.

In addition, many of the students come from single parent families where their parents are busy working.

This activity provides them with the time to socialize in a safe and engaging environment with others. In this informal atmosphere, the students are able to open up about their problems and get additional help with their homework as the teachers are available to help them.
