My Project

It's been three months since we temporarily moved into our swing space. While we wait for our previous school building to be renovated, we have been tasked with making the best out of our situation! This requires a little bit of this and a little bit of that in terms of beautification.

This project is to have two additional picnic tables in our outside space used for recess.

When students go outside to play, they are unable to place all of their lunches on a non-grounded surface. Also, there are times when students may want to sit down and engage in artwork, read a book, or just relax and enjoy the weather rather than play. With multiple classes outside at the same time, space has become quite limited for seating.

While we can't replace our previous field at our old school, we can certainly provide our students with a few of the same elements! Currently, there is one bench outside, and we have the space for two more! The benches could also be used for small group instruction once the weather breaks so that students can have a different setting for their learning environment. Many of my students learn differently, and a change in environment could be the perfect reset to continue their learning!
