My Students

What is special about my students this year is that they are all unique. I have a room full of different levels, personalities, and behaviors. You never know what you will get when you step inside Ms. Carr's classroom.

I have students who are English Language Learners who are brave, who have bows bigger than their books, and who are not authors yet but they all need to be working towards reading on grade level.

This year I hope to be able to give them everything they need to have an enjoyable, memorable, and successful year.

My Project

These materials will allow students to grab books that are on their level and keep them in their designated area for clean and sanitization. These bins will allow students to have a quick access to their own books that they have chosen. The magic treehouse books will be used as our class chapter book reads. This is will allow students to draw and create mind movies. This will also expose them to chapter books and retelling information after each chapter. A perfect reading group session will be me teaching students in small group and students being able to be independent with whisper reading because they can find their own books all in one place. They won't have to interrupt me and these books will allow them to get excited about reading and picking their favorite books.
