This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help get my students some items for our cozy corner! First grade is a big transition rom kindergarten and we are just starting to learn about our feelings and how to manage emotions! By providing my students with a safe space to feel their feelings, I am confident they will be able to begin developing the tools they need to make successful and safe choices.

Students will benefit from having a little area where they can cool down and take a break when needed so that they are not disrupting anyone else.

It also will be beneficial for them to know that its okay to have strong feelings, but also we can take breaks and come back to work!
