My Students

My students are exceptional. They are in high school and they are filled with emotions. Some are counting down and others are still wondering what will it be like after high school. COVID-19 has changed our way of teaching, but throughout the daily days of precaution, they are still so full of life and humor.

All in all, my students want to excel and they are not letting this pandemic get them down.

They are willing to put in hard work, but they are in need of some supplies. Please help me build a reading class that they would enjoy coming to.

My Project

By providing materials to create a safe place for reading, my students will have an opportunity to exceed, focus, and feel safe. This school year is full of the unknown. We are aiming for excellence, even though we are wearing masks and using COVID-19 precautions. Being able to move to a different area of the room instead of sitting in a chair all day would be a benefit for the class.

Funding this project would not only allow students to move but to also achieve in their other classes.

Most of the students have academic goals and they need headphones with microphones to complete some of their assignments. With the mics, they can speak and their assignments would be typed in for them.

Even though the supplies would make my students feel safe and comfortable during reading, UNO would be a great lunch filler. Because of COVID-19, some days we eat in class. As we can recall a classroom can be boring, so UNO would be an added plus to help them get through their lunchtime in class. UNO helps with memory, concentration, and social skills.
