Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In my first-grade classroom, every student is special and valued in their own and unique way. By teaching first grade in the same Title I school over the last five years, I've taken joy in being a part of a special school community where students, families, and teachers work together to give all kids a strong social-emotional and academic foundation. We all have the same goal in mind: we want to help every learner bring out their creativity. My hope is that every student continues to shine and becomes something amazing one day!

My Project

I am requesting the materials and supplies for students and teachers to have a safe space during lunch. It is essential for staff members to have a safe environment during their break. The table allows teachers and students to make something warm to drink or eat. The microwave is a great way to warm up our food and allow students and staff members to enjoy their meals. The refrigerator will keep things cool for students to leave stuff in there and not worry about getting rotten. We have a lot of students that bring their lunch to school and need everything to be refrigerated. The Ninja blender will be using our health and nutrition lessons to make healthy smoothies for the children to try. The artificial tree will be used to create a welcoming school environment for staff members and children. The cart will store different materials from my students to help them have a safe place. The Coffee bar will be used to hold snacks for both students and staff. The curtains will be used to create a more welcoming environment for students. The floor lamp will be used for more lighting in the room. The coffee pod drawer will be used to hold small yogurts for the students. Students will use the coffee hanger rack to hang cups. The drying rack will be used to dry students Tupperware.
