Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are diligent, resilient, and persistent. Our school is in a high-needs area but despite challenges, our students come to school ready to learn and ready to support one another. Many of our students live with family members who have health issues and thus may be vulnerable to COVID 19.

My Project

As we prepare to reopen schools in September, I want to make sure that my classroom is as safe and healthy as I can make it. Our students will be spread out among a few different classrooms to ensure that we follow the social distancing guidelines. Studies show that good ventilation and air purifiers can make a difference in the transmission of the virus. In our 600 square foot rooms, these air purifiers will help to provide a healthier learning environment and give us all a safer return to the classroom.
