My Students

My students are kind and eager to learn. They work so hard every day and are especially excited in anything that involves technology.

I have seen such amazing progress with even the most reluctant writers when they move from pencil and paper to the computer screen.

My school is a public school located in Malden, MA. We are a K-8 school, with 897 students currently enrolled. Students at this school come from a variety of economic backgrounds. About sixty-two percent come from low income families. Many children are first and second generation immigrants. The diversity in this school is magnificent, we speak many languages-French Creole, Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, and English. We celebrate how fortunate we are to educate so many children from all over the world.

Located north of Boston, our district is extremely ethnically diverse; over 60 languages are spoken throughout the district. In addition, many of our students receive reduced or free lunch.

My Project

We have been so lucky to receive 6 new Chromebooks from the most generous donors. We are so excited to use these devices for projects in all subjects. Having a safe place to store them will ensure that they are always ready for use. Having these devices will change our learning dramatically. Access to technology is so important in the world of education. We use personal devices for everything from math games to literacy centers to writing essays and poems to research. My ultimate goal is to have a chrome book for every child in my class. Thank you in advance for considering our project.
