This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

One of the most important features in any classroom is its rug. Students gather on their rug for morning meetings, afternoon closings, and during read-alouds. They use their rug for silent reading, group activities, and indoor recess games. A rug is the central focus of every classroom. The classroom rug is a meeting place for students and their teachers.

Every classroom needs a great rug to help make it a welcoming place.

My students love to talk and work together. A classroom rug will provide them with a place to practice those skills within the structure of activities such as morning meetings or read-alouds.
