My Students

My students are tuneful, beautiful, artful people! Our classroom is filled with joy and active music-making. We sing songs from around the world, move expressively, dance, play instruments, and create music. I teach my students that they are all musicians, and as they grow up through the music program, they take charge of their own musicianship.

Our classroom gets a lot of foot traffic, and our rug needs help to stay clean.

I want my students to walk into a pleasant and safe environment, and just keeping it clean is the first step. It sounds like such a small thing, but it's true! I have seen students get disappointed if they have to sit on a rug with visible dust bunnies or bits of paper on their spot.

My Project

Have you ever walked into a room and felt a little uneasy just because it wasn't exactly clean? Well, my students have! They notice the little bits and pieces that end up on our rug, and it makes a difference in their ability to focus and participate.

A clean room is a happy room, and a happy room is where students do their best learning!

If you help us get this robot vacuum, you will be contributing to a clean rug for my students, and thus creating a learning environment that is free of distractions.

It's hard to keep a room clean when it's shared by all 250 students at my school. The brightly-colored rug gets dirty very quickly with 500 shoes dancing, hopping, tip-toeing, and marching their way over it every week. A robot vacuum cleaner, however, would make short work of all that unidentifiable stuff on the rug. Best of all, it wouldn't require any extra time from me or my students to get the job done! So please consider helping us out and donating to our project for a robot vacuum.
