Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Rewards motivate students to achieve their goals and maintain positive behavior. When students are aware that their hard work and accomplishments will be recognized through rewards, they are more likely to stay focused and committed to their tasks. Rewards provide a tangible incentive that encourages students to set personal goals, strive for improvement, and engage actively in their learning. This motivation helps them persevere through challenges and stay on track to reach their academic and behavioral objectives. My students not only want things like fidgets, sports equipment, bead kits, and snacks; but they also LOVE the recognition they receive from teachers.

By offering rewards for both academic achievements and good conduct, students experience a sense of satisfaction and pride in their efforts.

This positive reinforcement not only celebrates their successes but also helps them understand the link between their actions and outcomes. As students receive rewards for their progress, they are more likely to repeat these behaviors and develop a mindset geared towards continuous improvement and success.
