Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are located in the South Bronx and are in a Title I school. They are filled with passion and enthusiasm to learn. Coming from low-income households and a high-need neighborhood. Regardless of their situation at home they still come in with smiles on their faces to greet their teachers and fellow classmates. Most who are coming from other countries who might not even speak English.

What makes them so special is that no matter what they've been through they still manage to come to school with smiles on there faces.

They are resilient, energetic, friendly and welcoming.

My Project

The books that I selected will help provide my students with not only age appropriate library but with a library help foster their love for reading. This will get their attention and read books about children and people who look like them.

This will help grow their imagination, learn about different communities, different professions and most importantly teach them to dream big!

I want this library to show my students that they can accomplish their dreams and much success. That no matter where you come you, you can achieve your goals.
