Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are beautiful, creative, and eager to learn to read in order to learn about the world around them. I want to give them a space where they can let their creativity shine as well as a place where they can read and continue to grow.

This couch will give my students a place to play and create, using the foam blocks of this couch to turn it into what their brilliant minds imagine as well as a comfortable and cozy place to read when they are learning.

With this couch, my students will be able to read in a comfortable and cozy place. As a child, my fondest memories were of me reading in a comfortable space in the classroom and I want to give my students that experience as well.

With the foam blocks, my students will be able to engage their imagination in a world of creation, maybe even creating the scenes and settings of the books they have read.

This couch will give my curious and courageous first graders, the ability to imagine and learn all in one which would be the ultimate gift.
