This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love coming to school and are always eager to learn. The students in my school come from diverse backgrounds and have a variety of needs. They are enthusiastic, caring, and full of life. My students thoroughly enjoy reading, especially series books!

I work in a Title I school in Brooklyn, New York, which means my students come from low-income homes.

All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. Even though they face challenges, they are always striving to do their best.

My Project

These books will bring a new love for reading to my students. Sharing these beautiful books with my students will make them excited about reading and book shopping.

The library is truly the heart of the classroom and should be the area where students want to be, eager to read the next exciting book they see.

These books will be especially useful when we start our series book club unit in reading. In the clubs, students are assigned a specific series and share what they are reading with their club mates. Watching the students share their thoughts about their books with each other is a great joy.
