Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is very diverse in that we have many English Language Learners. They make up almost half the population of our school. We are an all-kindergarten school made up of approximately five hundred 5- and 6-year-olds. That's a lot of little bodies that can be influenced in a positive way.

I teach eighteen enthusiastic, eager, and energetic kindergartners at a Title I school.

Our school is in a very low socioeconomic community. Because we are in a high poverty community, all students at our school receive free breakfast and lunch through the community eligibility program. Most of my students have not had the opportunity to attend pre-k, and they have not had significant learning experiences in their homes.

My Project

We used colored paper every day for art and projects that stem from math, literacy, science, and writing. With 19 students and several projects a week, you could see how paper goes fast!

With your help, I can keep a good stock of paper to enhance my students' learning in the areas of science, literacy, math, and writing!

The paper I am requesting is perfect because not only is it bright and colorful, but it is the right size to run copies on to make the learning activities for my students to use.
