My Project

I teach in a center-based autism classroom at an incredibly inclusive elementary school. Our center-based autism program has grown by leaps and bounds since it opened a few years ago.

My brilliant and unique students are elementary school-age kiddos who have autism and look forward to coming to school to learn and grow every single day.

Within our classroom, students learn social skills, grow their communication skills, learn about emotions, functional (or life) skills, and academic content, including reading, mathematics, and writing.

As our program grows, evolves and changes - we find ourselves in need of more classroom basics and organizational supplies! The binders will help students keep their learning materials organized as well as data to demonstrate their impressive growth and knowledge all in one location. The rainbow of colors of plastic folders, clipboards, pockets, and markers will help keep learning and engaging fun and organized as students gain more independence through a well organized color coding system. All of these new materials will help students engage with their learning environment and ensure their supplies are easily accessible and organized. Thank you so much for helping keep our classroom stocked with essentials.
