My Project

The calming and quiet corner I propose will directly support my students’ emotional well-being and, in turn, enhance their ability to learn.

My goal is to establish a space where students can develop self-regulation and coping skills, enabling them to re-engage in their learning with a clearer, calmer mindset.

My students are special because they come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique strengths, creativity, and resilience into the classroom. Many face challenges such as anxiety, stress, or learning differences, making emotional support a vital part of their education. This calming corner will empower them to overcome these obstacles by providing a dedicated area to unwind, practice mindfulness, and feel valued as individuals. By addressing their emotional needs, this project will ultimately help my students build the focus and confidence needed to thrive academically and socially. Supporting their emotional development today will have lasting impacts on their future success.

The requested items, such as the deep-seated rocking chair and calming circles rug, will create a comfortable and inviting space where students can relax and recharge. The galaxy projector, globe string lights, and fidget toys provide soothing sensory stimulation that helps students manage stress and refocus. Art supplies like construction paper and colored pencils offer a creative outlet for self-expression, while Pokémon cards encourage social interaction and positive reinforcement, serving as class prizes or encouraging kids to play with friends: very, very popular among my students. Snacks like Ritz Bits crackers and essentials like tissues ensure the space feels nurturing and supportive.
