Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have come so far in the past year and I'm excited to have most of them back for the upcoming year. Most have mastered our puzzles and we need new ones to increase both visual performance and attending skills.

I have a wonderful group of early learners who present as atypical learners, but despite this they are absolutely brilliant.

Most are reading words, demonstrating an understanding of math concepts such as more or less, and improving visual performance skills such as sequencing. In order to continue this incredible rate of growth the students need new resources such as puzzles to both challenge and motivate them.

My Project

My students will use the puzzles daily. All the students complete puzzles as part of their daily one-to-one instruction. They also often choose to work on puzzles as part of the morning routine and during choices. Puzzles are an excellent resource because they help students increase problem solving skills. Puzzles require determination and focus, which are important skills for all students to learn.

The puzzles that I am requesting are more challenging than our current set of puzzles.

The new puzzles will not only motivate the students (new resources always do) but they will help increase many skills such as visual performance, problem solving and fine-motor coordination.
