My Project

My Virtual Enterprise International business students represent the ambition, curiosity, intelligence, and heart of our city and state and are a competitive team. Our virtual company is inspired about competing at the Nationals of the business plan competition, and we aspire to break into the final round for the first time in school history.

They have built a compelling Hobbies and Crafts startup that developed The Fit Kit, a user-friendly, do-it-yourself, upcycling, toolkit.

Students will use the Fit Kit to upcycle and repurpose clothing articles for display at school and at competitions. The kits will also serve as a prototype for judges, at competitions. Each item on the content's list was researched and endorsed as essentials by several of today's influential 'upcyclers' and craft influencers. A prototype kit brings us closer to our goals.

We participate in the Business Plan, Marketing Plan, Elevator Pitch, Human Resources, Sales Pitch, Branding Package, Newsletter, Commercial, and E-commerce competitions of the Virtual Enterprise International program, of which we are a members.

Through the program, students apply workplace theory to classroom enterprise. They develop essential leadership, professional, functional, and core technology skills through hands-on, immersive, work-based learning experiences. Students work in departments to manage day-to-day functions, produce key deliverables, assess growth, make decisions, respond to challenges, and participate in a variety of business-related events and activities, in-person, and through Virtual Enterprise’s global marketplace. Students experience Work-based Learning Opportunities, College Preparation, Entrepreneurial Skills, Product Design and Development, Social Media Management, Project Management, Teams Leadership, Website Building, and Public Speaking. We are 2020 and 2023 New York Citywide Business Plan Champions, and placed 3rd in the 2024, National Human Resources Competition.
