Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is a combination of general and special education students, and I am the special education teacher in this ICT inclusion class. Many students have attended kindergarten at my school, but there are many first graders that are new to this school and have various needs. My students consist of both low income, general and special education, first grade students located in the Bronx.

Hands-on activities and manipulatives are key to students, and it is essential for students to be successful.

Many of my students lack the appropriate resources to assist them in the classroom. These students are eager to learn, and are so excited about school, so I try to engage students in as many hands on activities and it is encouraged in all classrooms.

My Project

These materials will help my students immensely in fun small group hands on activities and will assist them in their organizational skills. Students will be able to draw, write and color in their notebooks and be able to place their student work in appropriate folders. In addition, students will be able to use magnetic boards with place value activities to assist in learning.

Students will be engaged in activities to reinforce and reteach lessons when necessary.

Please assist these students in affording them with the supplies listed. It takes a village to raise a child and these children are part of our village!
