Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We desperately need a color printer to meet the needs of our students with autism. Our students require visual supports throughout their day to assist in academics, transitions and social-emotional learning. They benefit from visual picture schedules, first/then and token economy boards. We create visuals for every lesson which include directions and worksheets that are differentiated to meet the needs of each students.

Visuals also aid in communication as our non-verbal students use them to let us know their wants and needs (such as a drink or the bathroom).

This printer will help make every activity more accessible and engaging for the students in two classrooms at our school. Your assistance is deeply appreciated!
